17-0540 Hydrolux Filling Primer is a professional water-based high-build primer developed to improve surface smoothness and filling performance on exterior timber joinery. Designed to create a uniform, well-filled surface prior to topcoating, it is particularly suited to laminated, finger-jointed, and engineered timber components. Suitable for timber windows, doors, cladding, and exterior joinery, Hydrolux Filling Primer enhances the appearance of the finished coating while forming an integral part of the complete Hydrolux exterior coating system.

Ideal for timber windows, doors, exterior joinery, cladding, and engineered timber components where enhanced filling and surface smoothness are required before topcoating. Particularly suited to laminated and finger-jointed timber, as well as a wide range of timber species including Meranti, Red Grandis, Redwood, Pine heartwood, Accoya®, Tricoya®, and plywood.

Application & Drying

Apply to clean, dry, and properly prepared timber surfaces using suitable spray equipment. Hydrolux Filling Primer is designed to improve surface filling and smoothness before applying finishing coats. Once dry, the surface can be lightly sanded where required to achieve a high-quality finish. Follow the technical data sheet for the recommended film builds, drying schedules, and application guidance.
