16-0202 Ankolux Hydrostain is a professional water-based translucent woodstain developed to protect and enhance exterior timber while preserving the natural beauty of the wood grain. Suitable for timber cladding, gates, fencing, garden buildings, windows, doors, and exterior joinery, it provides excellent weather resistance, UV protection, and long-lasting colour stability. Designed for spray, brush, and roller application, it can be used as a stand-alone decorative coating system or as part of a complete Ankolux finishing system for enhanced durability and performance.

Ideal Applications

Suitable for both dimensionally stable and non-dimensionally stable timber, including softwood, hardwood, Accoya®, and Tricoya®, for both interior and exterior applications.
Application & Drying
Apply to clean, dry, and properly prepared timber using spray, brush, or roller application. Ankolux Hydrostain can be used as a stand-alone decorative woodstain system or overcoated with 16-0221 Ankolux Aqua Woodcoat Colour where increased build, durability, and long-term weather protection are required. Follow the technical data sheet for the recommended application guidance and drying schedule.
